Who is behind it

The practice is built on engineering and leadership inside the mobile industry's supply side — senior roles at Ericsson, Huawei and ZTE, earlier work at Türkiye's national research council TÜBİTAK and at the mobile operator now trading as Türk Telekom Mobile, and latterly the chief executive's post at Defne Telekomünikasyon, a Turkish telecommunications equipment manufacturer.

It also draws on chairing the board of HTK — Haberleşme Teknolojileri Kümelenmesi, Türkiye's Communication Technologies Cluster, an industry body of more than a hundred domestically-owned technology companies. HTK was the industrial grouping behind the country's end-to-end domestic 5G programme, which brought together all three Turkish mobile network operators — Turkcell, Türk Telekom and Vodafone — and sixteen companies to build a nationally-sourced 5G network. Turkish industry press of the period described our founder as that programme's architect.

The founder holds an MSc in Electronics Engineering from Boğaziçi University.

That background is the reason for the company's narrow scope. Migration questions in a mobile network are rarely cryptography questions in isolation; they are questions about what a specific vendor's implementation will and will not do, what an interface will tolerate, and which constraint is contractual rather than technical. Answering them requires having sat on both sides of that conversation — and, in a multi-vendor national programme, having had to reconcile sixteen of them.
